The City of Moreno teamed up with the Western Riverside County Organization of Governments and Compass Blueprint to plan for integrated development around their new Metrolink station.

Goals

Transform an existing transit center into a transit focused mixed use hub
Integrate rail with regional buses
Coordinate developers with transit planning process
Introduce small public open spaces

The Western Riverside County Organization of Governments envisioned a vibrant transit village around a newly built transit station to maximize connectivity and synergy with downtown and build upon catalytic projects. By using the Metrolink station as a catalyst for change, WRCOG can focus commercial activity, introduce new residential prototypes, and create pedestrian-friendly, mixed-use hub.
