ULI LA is working to increase public and private sector engagement for transit oriented development in the region.

The ULI Los Angeles TOD Summit strives to engage public and private sector leaders to discuss pressing transportation and land use challenges with the intent to identify common goals and principles that will lead to successful development around transit. Four Technical Assistance Panels (TAPs) drawn from ULI expertise will be assembled to address land use challenges and advance ULI Los Angeles's commitment to the successful implementation of transit-oriented development. TOD TAPs may include a full range of project advancement studies, including, but not limited to, conceptual design, feasibility analysis, strategic planning or implementation recommendations. Public agencies, private firms, and nonprofit organizations are encouraged to apply to get expert and objective advice on a specific transit-oriented development project.

Over 400 professionals from public, private and non-profit sectors participated in panel discussions on the policy, design and financing of TOD projects at this year’s event. ULI Los Angeles hopes to build on this success as we plan for TOD Summit 2012.
About TAPs

In anticipation of TOD Summit 2012 and building off of this year's success, the ULI Los Angeles is working to increase public and private sector engagement for transit oriented development in the region. TOD Summit Technical Assistance Panels are being offered to provide support and advisory assistance to key transit stations in the counties of Los Angeles, Ventura, Kern, San Luis Obispo, and Santa Barbara. The TAPs are an extraordinary value that will be tailored to your project's needs that can include:

•    Bringing a fresh pair of expert eyes to transform planning into action

•    Increasing the level of awareness, private sector involvement and investment

•    Providing development focused studies to prepare your project for the next real estate cycle

•    Expedite development by improving TOD planning efforts with a more comprehensively planned vision

•    Engaging stakeholders, policy makers, and the development community to explore new TOD opportunities

TOD Summit TAP Application Workshops

ULI Los Angeles will host TAP Application Workshops to allow prospective applicants the opportunity to ask questions about the TOD Summit Technical Assistance Panel Application and the benefits of receiving a TAP study. Attendance at the Workshop is not a prerequisite to apply for the TAP study, although is recommended for applicants. The workshop schedule will be available soon on the program website at www.uli-la.org/tod-summit.
