Environmental Enhancement & Mitigation Grants

$10 million available for grants to agencies and nonprofits for projects that mitigate impacts related to public transportation facilities.

The Natural Resources Agency and The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) are pleased to announce the joint release of the Guidelines and Application for the Environmental Enhancement and Mitigation Program (EEMP) for the 2009/10 grant cycle. The EEMP offers a total of $10 million each year for grants to local, state, and federal governmental agencies and to nonprofit organizations for projects to mitigate the environmental impacts caused by new or modified public transportation facilities. A workshop is scheduled in Los Angeles on October 19th and applications are due November 16th. More information is online at http://www.resources.ca.gov/eem/
